Columbine

The Rocky Mountain Columbine is the blue state flower of Colorado, but this variety was a deep purple. Some of the other variants are white and red. Above tree line in Colorado, look to large outcroppings of rocks and you will usually see these complex flowers hanging out with the marmots.
